The 4EU+ Alliance has one vision: to create One Comprehensive Research-Intensive European University. Together, we aim to build a truly integrated European university system that sets a new standard of cooperation in education, research, innovation, and outreach. This vision captures the unique features of our Alliance: united by a share ambition, we are committed to consolidating resources and aligning decision-making processes across our institutions renowned for their outstanding research capacity and strong multi- and interdisciplinary profiles. We strive to establish a university system founded on core values: academic freedom, accessible higher education for all, student-centred approach, diversity and inclusion, and service to society. We are European in identity. As such, it is at the core of our mission to rebalance talent flows, integrate ecosystems and, above all, equip the next generations of citizens to solve the global challenges of our times.

EPICUR strives to foster closer collaborations among its academics, students and administrative staff to become a full-fledged federation of universities offering a European learning and academic training experience to all. To support this ambition, the key elements are:- An efficient and inclusive governance supported by joint services, integrated training offers and shared infrastructures- A thriving community bringing together faculties, students and staff around European values and a shared sense of belonging.

Alliance for Advancing Technology through Higher Education and Novel Approaches – the ATHENA European University is a federation of mid-size higher education institutions in nine European countries. It draws on their combined strengths to reach a common objective: deliver high-quality education with a positive impact on research, youth employability and social advancement at the national and European levels. Achieving this objective is possible with a holistic, inclusive view of education and an assertive branding strategy. Joint research and educational projects enhance synergies between the member universities and stakeholders, foster research quality and impact, boost the competitiveness of the submitted proposals, attract funds to support its programmes and fully leverage the network’s infrastructure and scientific potential.
