Presentation

Automotive Engineering studies the development of safer, more comfortable, and efficient vehicles.
This area seeks solutions in performance and behaviour, consumption and emissions, active and passive safety, ergonomics, and maintenance. If you have a strong orientation towards technological innovation and a special taste for motorsport, this is your engineering.

Competencies

What areas can you work in?

  • Automotive design activities;
  • Technical direction for brand representatives;
  • Workshop management;
  • Fleet maintenance;
  • Consultancy and training in the area of automotive mechanics;
  • Motorsport;
  • Development, design, manufacture, and assembly of vehicles.

Learning Outcomes

What does this degree give you?

  • You will acquire skills for product development, machine shop management, after-sales service, and technical support.
  • You will gain an understanding of materials, structures, mechanisms, manufacturing processes, and thermal processes, which you complement with specific knowledge in the automotive area, in terms of vehicle technology, electronics, management, and legislation.
  • You will attend a degree with a strong theoretical-practical component, including laboratory classes, seminars, training with industry experts, and extracurricular activities related to Motorsport and motor racing.
