Learning Outcomes
At the end of the semester, it is expected the students are able to:
- Perform the fundamental operations of matrix calculation, determine the inverse of a matrix (if it exists) and solve matrix equations (OB1);
- Evaluating determinants and use the properties to perform equalities between determinants (OB2);
- Use the condensation of matrices and the determinants to solve and discuss systems of linear equations (OB3);
- Identify and generate real vector spaces and operate with vectors, in particular to see if they can be used as a basis of a vector space (OB4);
- Identify linear transformations, determine the associated matrices and their eigenvalues and eigenvectors (OB5).
Students must perform the proposed tasks in the practical sessions and fulfill the success criteria of the course.
