Learning Outcomes
The subjects taught in this course aim to provide the student with information enabling them to simultaneously analyze and design systems, using for this purpose the knowledge of the areas of electronics and informatics. With this objective, are introduced concepts of microcontrollers, sensors and actuators, fundamental for the design of systems. Are also introduced aspects of programming and reinforced acquired knowledge of the development of information systems. These concepts are then integrated through the development of an interdisciplinary project by the students, through which students should acquire knowledge and understanding concerning:
- Sensors and their principles of operation
- Actuators and their principles of operation
- Microcontroller and embedded systems
- Programming in C and Python
- Development of information systems
- Internet of Things (IoT) and MQTT protocol
- Web dashboards
The objective is for the student to be able to:
- Analyze, design and implement a project of small / medium size
- Check the quality of the work done individually and as a team
- Improve their ability to explore new areas of computing
- Work as a team
