Each Project/Internship follows an individual work plan previously defined and validated by the RUC.
Over the course of approximately 12 weeks, the student must demonstrate his/her progress by submitting, with review, deliverables defined in each Control Point i (PCi) with the requested information:
PC1. Identification of the company, objectives, advisor, supervisor and protocol status.
PC2. Initial project planning encompassing the problem, objectives, phases, tasks, durations, milestones and resources. This delivery includes an alignment meeting between the three entities (student, advisor and supervisor) and the assessment of the correct integration of the student.
PC3. The status, including a proposed solution and re-planning (if applicable).
PC4 . A first version of the report and evidence of the solution being built.
PC5. Delivery of the final version of the report and presentation.
PC6. Presentation and discussion of your project before a jury.
Learning Outcomes
The Project/Internship UC (PROES) aims at professional and/or scientific integration, through the consolidation of personal, interpersonal and social skills and the application of knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired in curricular and extracurricular contexts during previous semesters. It consists of developing a Project inserted in an R&D unit or carrying out a curricular Internship inserted in an external company or organization.
PROES takes place on a full-time basis, lasting a total of 504 hours, of which approximately 24 hours will be dedicated to meetings with the ISEP advisor and the PROES teaching team.
The aim is to promote the development of skills in autonomy, initiative, decision-making, critical analysis, time management and individual and group work. The contribution of this UC to the course is crucial, also functioning as an interface between the academic training environment and the external organizational environment.
At the end of this UC the student should be able to:
OB1. Understand and integrate into the context where the project/internship will take place and carry out a survey of the problem under study;
OB2. Define the main objectives and plan, organize, control and evaluate the different stages;
OB3. Identify, analyze and propose different approaches to solving the problem;
OB4. Design a solution to the problem, adopting good systems engineering practices;
OB5. Build a solution/outcomes for the identified problem;
OB6. Rigorously describe processes and results, including critical analysis in a formal report;
OB7. Develop communication skills and critical thinking with the final public presentation and discussion of one's own work before a jury.
