Contents
Sensors and signal conditioning circuits (general concepts and terminology; characteristics and sensors classification; resistive, electromagnetic and variable reactance sensors; active sensors, digital and smart sensors); Signal conditioning circuits using operational amplifiers (revisions, linear and non-linear circuits); A/D and D/A converters; Waveform generators; Data acquisition systems.
Learning Outcomes
Give to students the ability to apply electronic and computer programming concepts previously acquired during the degree, complemented with new knowledges in the area of electronic instrumentation (sensors and signal conditioning circuits). Additionally, guide students in the design and implementation of electronic circuits controlled/monitored using a PC.
