Learning Outcomes
- To consolidate and complement the previously acquired mathematical training.
- To develop abstraction capacity related to mathematical formulation and resolution of engineering problems.
- To develop ability to choose and apply basic mathematical techniques to solve particular problems within engineering.
- To encourage the establishment of habits of accuracy and detail in the presentation of problem solving, as well as routines synthesis, analysis and interpretation of results.
- Given a differential equation, identify correctly the type of the given equation and the proper method to find its solution.
- Given a function of several variables in R, correctly apply the concept of limit, continuity and derivative rules.
- Apply the techniques for differential calculus to determine maxima and minima of functions of two or more variables.
- Apply the integration techniques to evaluate double and triple integrals
