Learning Outcomes
The course of Electrical Power Systems (SIELE) aims to provide students with basic concepts in the field of Electrical Power Systems (EPS) and develop skills in the interpretation of electrical phenomena. For a better understanding, the material given on lectures and in theoretical-practical classes will allow them to strenght what they learn through solving problems. In turn, tests performed in laboratory classes will allow students testing electrical phenomena and encourage teamwork.
The goals identified in this course are the following:
OB1 - Electrical energy.
OB2 - Energy sources.
OB3 - Global structure of the Electrical Power Systems: Distribuition network.
OB4 - Load Diagrams.
OB5 - Electrical Energy Production: Types of production centres.
OB6 - Per unit system.
OB7 - System functionning: protection and neutral systems.
OB8 - Open structure of the power systems: Marketing and electricity pricing.
OB9 - The best method to solve problems.
