Learning Outcomes

The main objective of this course unit is to develop skills in the analysis, selection, and design of telecommunications infrastructures in buildings and building complexes, as well as to familiarize students with scientific notation, units, and quantities related to electronic communications.

Specific Objectives:

OB1 ? Engineering Analysis
Analysis and design of Telecommunications Systems and Infrastructures.
Core Competencies: By the end of the course, students should have developed a set of skills related to the analysis and design of telecommunications systems and infrastructures in buildings and residential developments. Special emphasis will be placed on key concepts, tools, and technical applications.

OB2 ? Research
Cross-Disciplinary Competencies: Proper use of technical and scientific notation/language; effective communication in Portuguese; encouragement of interest in and use of the English language; deepening knowledge in the fields of computer science and electronics. Ability to interpret experimental and bibliographic data and to adjust the developed models while maintaining a physical interpretation.

OB3 ? Engineering Practice
Promote the correct use of laboratory equipment that has realistic and integrative applications in Engineering activities.
