Learning Outcomes

(A) Teaching the principles of operation and calculation of dynamic systems that deal with energy transfer in fluids (particularly kinetic energy and pressure).

This course will be targeted in order to give students knowledge about
(B) the different types and operating principles of flow machines, including:
(C) - turbo-machines that provide energy to fluids (pumps, compressors, fans)
(D) - turbo-machines that extract energy from fluids (turbines), including (E) thermal machines;
(F) application of different types of machines to several practical situations, particularly:
(G) - the process for selecting and sizing of pumps and fans
(H) - the design of pumping, ventilation or air exhausting systems.
