Learning Outcomes

After the frequency with approval in this curricular unit, the student should be able to:
OB1-Analyze and determine kinematic parameters of planar mechanisms.
OB2-Calculate forces and moments in components of machines in planar movement, applying:
OB2.1 - Newton's laws;
OB2.2 - Energy theorems (Principle of Work and Energy, Principle of Conservation of Energy).
OB3-Identify the different regimes and the most relevant parameters of a 1 DOF system in mechanical vibration.
OB4-The design of plane mechanisms is one of the main applications of the Mechanics 2 unit, as it provides the student with the required knowledge, the tools and the capacity for the analysis of planar mechanisms for industrial applications.
