Contents

- Principle of induction and creation of mechanical torque with electromagnetic origin;
- Electric motors used in traction and their characteristics, namely the DC Motor, Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), Induction Motor and Reluctance Motor;
- Controllers (drives) for electric motors and their role in controlling torque, acceleration, speed and regenerative braking;
- Batteries used in electric vehicles: charging and discharge profiles; construction details (two different geometries,
prismatic and pouch); different chemicals: LiFePO4, NMC, LMO and LCO.
- Know the types of AC and DC electric vehicle chargers on the market, the powers involved, standards, connector types and communication protocols between the vehicle and the charging infrastructure.
