Biomedical Engineering
Presentation
Biomedical Engineering integrates principles, methods, and tools from the sciences, technology, and engineering to analyse and solve problems in medicine and biology.
If you have a versatile profile, a special taste for health matters, and a strong motivation for technology, particularly electronics and computer science, this is your engineering.

What areas can you work in?
- Hospitals and health centres;
- Diagnostic and imaging centres, haemodialysis and radiotherapy, clinical analysis, physiotherapy and physiatry;
- Companies for the development of biomedical and hospital materials;
- Companies that develop computer applications in the area of Health;
- Research units or centres in the area of Bioengineering and Biomedicine.
