1. Introduction to the principles of Economics and Management. Fundamentals of management: behavioral and functional management cycle; functional areas of an organization.
2. Concept and process of creating a company.
3. Strategies and business models: The CANVAS model.
4. Accounting: financial statements, elementary cost concepts and costing methods.
5. Fundamentals of financial mathematics: capitalization and updating regimes, capital equivalence, income and loan repayment.
6. Analysis and evaluation of investments: concept of investment project, stages; evaluation criteria, sensitivity analyses. Structuring a project?s financial information.
Learning Outcomes
OBJ1- Understand the basic fundamentals of Economics and Business Management. Understand the concept of a company, its characteristics and formation process.
OBJ2- Understand the concept of entrepreneurship and the steps necessary to define the strategy of a business plan. Understand and know how to apply the CANVAS business model
OBJ3- Acquire skills and ability to prepare and analyze the company's economic and financial information to support decision-making.
OBJ4- Understand and estimate the basic variables of financial mathematics, as well as capitalization and capital updating regimes.
OBJ5- Acquire basic notions of company finance and industrial costing, providing them with the necessary skills to prepare an investment project.
OBJ6- Provide students with information about some investment evaluation methods.
