CP1. Glassware and safety rules in a laboratory of Analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry (1/2 week).
CP2. Unit operations: weighing, dissolution, filtration and drying (1/2 week).
CP3. Purification of compound by crystallization (1 week).
CP4. Melting point and boiling point as criteria of purity (1 week).
CP5. Treatment, concentration and purification of samples using liquid-liquid and solid-liquid extraction and chromatography (1 week).
CP6. Preparation of samples for analysis (1 week).
CP7. Samples assay using classical methods: volumetric and gravimetric analysis (5 weeks).
CP8. Synthesis of organic compounds with industrial interest (1/2 weeks).
Learning Outcomes
OB1. Recognize and use specific glassware from laboratories of Analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry;
OB2. Select and use different unit operations during the experimental procedure;
OB3. Determine the purity of compounds and purify them;
OB4. Prepare samples for analysis and their assay using classical analysis methods (volumetric and gravimetric titrimetry).
OB5. Carry out the synthesis of organic compounds.
