Learning Outcomes
It is intended to develop fundamental skills in the area of land characterization and classification aiming at the design and construction of engineering works, defining their skills and sizing parameters. At the end the student should be able to:
O1. Know and understand the role of engineering geology within the scope of engineering projects.
O2. Know and apply ground classification and characterization methods for the execution of engineering works.
O3. Know and apply work methodologies in the area of engineering geology applied to the different phases of design and construction.
O4. Integrate and interpret the knowledge resulting from the studies and investigations carried out and define the geotechnical parameters necessary for the design and construction of the work.
O5: Demonstrate independent study and teamwork skills.
