2 Studies and monographs: nonmetallic, metalllic and energy raw materials in Portugal and Worldwide.
Learning Outcomes
General Objectives:
The students should be able to distinguish useful raw mineral materials from the ones that are not economically extracted, and to know the principles of their evaluation, prospecting, mining and processing methods.
They will be able to understand the mineral resources market over the world.
They should understand generally the processes most used in the ore reclamation.
The students should know the different geological resources deposit types, the phases of exploration, evaluation, extraction and treatment of ore, non-metalic minerals and energy related minerals.
The student should be able to identify the geological resources used in the manufacture of materials used abundantly by the Society.
