Learning Outcomes

Students should be able to: understand the importance of multidisciplinary approaches in Geosciences, the topographic and cartographic analysis in Geosciences, the main methods and graphical techniques in structural geology and their applications in rock masses geotechnics; show a geoscientific culture; integrate the basic concepts of geology for the geological mapping analysis; study and analyse practical case studies for the application of geo-structural methodologies and graphical techniques; write reports using computer tools; collect, select and interpret relevant information for this course.
Understand the position of geosciences in the pluridisciplinary scientific broad field of Geoengineering.
Analysis and interpretation of topographical and geological maps.
