Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, the student must be able to:
CO1: Describe the general principles of the structure and functioning of an organisation, as well as the general principles of good management practices inherent in the main functional areas of organizations and generic management functions (planning, organisation, leading and control).
CO2: Explain that management, as social science, implies a different approach to engineering-related sciences.
CO3: Characteristic the internal and external context that affects the development of engineering projects and activities.
CO4: Identify, characterize and analyse the various strands concerned in an operational management problem (relationship with the client, relationship with other departments, people management, etc.).
CO5: Assess the importance and impact of a manager's actions.
CO6: Assess the context of simple operational management problems.
CO7: Evaluate the main human, commercial and organizational constraints that interfere in the development of engineering or other projects.
CO8: Propose solutions taking into account the context simple operational management problems and management theories addressed.
