Learning Outcomes
General objectives: Know and understand the different stages of a road project, know the project standards for road design in plan, longitudinal section and cross section. Know the materials used in pavements and perform the pavement structure design. Adequate the materials from excavations for use in embankments. Know the different drainage components and perform their disign.
Define the need for using drainage elements and design their adequate sections. repare test reports according to relevent standards. Produce technical advice and comments subsequent to the results obtained from tests. Collect, select and interpret data interest to this maters. From the design of road, identify all its elements and produce observations and comments relating to its viability. From the results of tests soils adequately preparee them from use in embankments and pavements.
