Contents
Rock dynamics principles. Propagation of stress waves . Plastic and choque waves. Fragmentation of rock masses by blasting. Environmental impacts from blasting. Remaining rock mass stability, flyrock, dust and other atmosferic contaminants, noise and air shock wave and vibrations. Other independente variables in the rock mass propagation law.
Learning Outcomes
To know the environmental impacts from rock blasting and to understand how to control those.
To know the vibration propagation laws in rock masses and the respective influence of geology, distance and explosives used.
