Theoretical Program (50%):
CP1. Analysis and specification of information systems:
-Basic concepts: system definition, life cycle of a system, development processes, standards and benchmarks.
-Requirements engineering: identification and analysis of functional and nonfunctional requirements. Methods, models and tools.
-Specification, design, implementation and validation systems.
CP2. Project Management:
-Introduction to the problem of project management;
-Life cycle of a project, organization, planning, control, risk analysis;
-Methods, techniques and tools for project management;
-Management of resources and technology;
- Investment Analysis Techniques
-Software tools for project management.
Practical Program (50%):
CP3 Development of case studies in project management covering the different phases of the project life cycle.
CP4. Exercises of project planning using a software tool.
Learning Outcomes
With the teaching of the Curricular Unit, students will be able to achieve the following pedagogical objectives:
OA - Distinguish key business information management approaches and applications
OB - Be able to use process modeling approaches from both static and dynamic perspectives
OC - Outline the fundamentals of the PMBoK conceptual model and ISO 21500: 2012 and its methodologies.
OD - Organize and select the most relevant functionalities in information management for project applications.
OE - Formulate, depending on the project in the company, the processes, its structure, as well as to define the resources required.
OF - Propose the use of the techniques of conception, planning and control of projects with the necessary efficiency and control of effectiveness.
OG - Evaluate different investment scenarios in the context of project management and select appropriate analysis techniques.
OH - Choose group work methods and project documentation suitable for multi-disciplinary projects in a business environment.
