Pilsen is located about 50 minutes from Prague and close to the German border. It is the capital of Western Bohemia, situated near the Šumava mountains. Pilsen was the European Capital of Culture in 2015. The city offers all the amenities of a metropolitan area while remaining economically accessible.
The Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen is based here and features modern biomedical facilities.
