Learning Outcomes
The main goal is that the student develops his capability of mathematical and abstract thinking and, applying knowledge of Linear Algebra and Geometry, be able to solve engineering problems.
Students should be able to:
OB1: Perform the basic operations on matrices, determine the inverse of a matrix, and solve matrix equations.
OB2: Evaluating determinants and applying the properties to perform equalities between determinants.
OB3: Apply determinants and matrices to solve and discuss systems of linear equations.
OB4: Identify and generate vector spaces and operate with vectors.
OB5: Identify linear transformations, determine the associated matrix, and calculate the respective eigenvalues and eigenvectors.
OB6: Equations of lines and planes; Scalar product and vectorial product; Intersections; To find distances between lines, planes and between a line and a plane.
