INTERNATIONAL PROJECT - TRANSPORTATION
Description
The aim of this course is for students to test their knowledge on urban mobility planning in an international and multidisciplinary environment, and to develop competences of presenting ideas and solutions to contractors and stakeholders in a foreign language.

Contents
- Sustainable mobility and transportation planning – general overview
- Principles and concepts of teamwork in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary groups
- Seminar on a specific topic chosen for each pilot project
- In-depth study of topics relevant to the selected problem
- Field work: interviews, measurements, data collection in a foreign city
- Developing goals, searching for and evaluating measures
- Presentations and discussions with contractors and stakeholders
- Presentations and discussions with civil groups
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge and understanding:
- Analyse a selected real-world problem in a foreign environment
- Set goals and search for appropriate measures
- Prepare conceptual design solutions
- Assess the adequacy of proposed solutions
- Present a conceptual plan to the public in a foreign language and foreign environment
Transferable/key skills:
Work in a group in a multidisciplinary and international environment. Methods of finding solutions and communicating them to the client and public.

Planned Activities
Introduction lessons (general and problem oriented), individual literature research, field work in a foreign country, analytical work in groups, public presentation in the hosting city and at home university.

- Individual work: 120 hours
- Total: 180 hours

Assessment weights:
- Project: 50%
- Oral presentation: 50%
