Presentation

The master is designed to deepen students’ scientific and technological knowledge of the agro-food and environmental sectors, preparing graduates to address complex challenges related to food production, quality, safety, sustainability, and environmental protection.

It offers advanced training in:

  • Agro-food production systems and technologies
  • Food quality, safety, and innovation
  • Environmental analysis and management
  • Sustainable use of natural resources
  • Applied research and technological development

The programme also provides solid preparation for research careers and doctoral studies, as well as for highly qualified professional roles.

Main Objective

The main objective of this master is to provide advanced scientific and technological training that enables graduates to analyze, design, and implement innovative and sustainable solutions in the agro-food and environmental sectors.

More specifically, the master aims to:

  • Deepen knowledge in agro-food science, food technology, and environmental analysis
  • Train specialists capable of ensuring food quality, safety, and innovation
  • Promote the sustainable management of natural resources and environmental systems
  • Develop the ability to integrate agro-food production and environmental protection
  • Prepare students for research, development, and innovation (R&D&I) activities
  • Provide solid methodological training for doctoral studies and advanced research careers

Structure and Distribution of Credits

  • Compulsory subjects (Obligatorias): 36 ECTS
    Advanced core training in agro-food science, food technology, and environmental analysis and management.
  • Optional subjects (Optativas): 12 ECTS
    Allow students to specialize according to their academic or professional interests within the agro-food or environmental fields.
  • Master’s Thesis (Trabajo Fin de Máster – TFM): 12 ECTS
    An individual research or applied project that integrates the knowledge and competencies acquired during the programme.
